This parlour takes its name from the wall’s fern motif mural dye work, originally created for Louis the XVI at Compiègne. After some transformations in the early 70s, the president Valéry Giscard d’Estaing (1974–1981) favours a return to a classic decoration; which is why the fabric was reused and installed in 1997.
Since 2007, this parlour is used as an office by the current spouse of the president.
